Spotlight: Care Coordination for Victims of Hate
Report COVID-19 Related Hate and Discrimination to 211 LA
Anyone in Los Angeles County who experiences or witnesses acts of bullying, discrimination, hate or violence based on perceived country of origin or association with the novel coronavirus should contact 211 LA County to submit a report and receive supportive services and follow-up care.
Reports can be made by dialing 2-1-1 or going online to211la.org.
Sophie (above), is one for 211 LA’s Care Coordinators for the Anti-Hate Campaign. She provides follow-up for individuals who have reported a hate incident and need extra support in connecting with services.
Sophie has been with 211 LA for 7 years, and aims to empower the individuals she works with by providing resources and guidance to help them help themselves in connecting with services. It warms her heart to know that her knowledge and compassion can impact someone’s situation through her work at 211 LA.
