Good afternoon California Chambers of Commerce,

My name is Luis Santos, Public Information Officer with SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance. I will be your point of contact for COVID-19 outreach. Economic Injury Disaster Loan now includes up to a $10,000 advance that may be requested at the same time the business owner applies online. The EIDL advance does not have to be repaid.

Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Advance

SBA now has a streamlined application process with no requirement for tax returns, financial statements, etc.  The one application covers the request for the EIDL loan and the EIDL advance.  Here is the link for the EIDL application:  https://covid19relief.sba.gov/.

Paycheck Protection Program

Businesses may visit their local bank or any approved SBA 7a lender to access the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).  This program is not administered by the Office of Disaster Assistance.

Here is a link which allows applicants to enter their zip code to find a lender to apply for the PPP program: https://www.sba.gov/paycheckprotection/find

SBA’s Customer Service Center

To check the status of a loan application or advance, please call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
